My setup is a desktop that sends to the chromecast on my TV.

If you use both renderer config files, then enter more device specific search strings for next config settings: If I put the subtitle on my phone Srt it recognizes it, but when I try to use it, it says something like upload failed, it can’t seem to add them to the existing stream. BubbleUPnP Server is required for these to work. Unfortunately the Android device CPU will be used intensive wich consumes a lot of battery powerand I guess not all phones have the hardware on board to successfully transcode high quality media files.

Any ideas on what I need here as googling is mostly leading to half forgotten forum posts and whispers of possible updates and no real solutions. I’m using Windows 7 64 bit on my desktop. Only syncing albums is fixed for now bubbleupnpp means no playlists. Somehow the playback stops after some time. I should mention now that during testing with the new config that enabling “Encoded Audio passthrough for AC-3 and DTS” will give the same error as before this isn’t what was giving the error last time, I had it disabled.

I tried serviio, but that doesn’t work on windows 7 64 that well console wouldn’t launch. Sure that the config files can be improved even more. No way around that. Tested with the video player MXPlayer: Thread Deleted Email Thread. However the benefits are great because the MX Player can handle almost all formats and subtitles nicely and also seeking works. The prefered subtitle and audio tracks settings must be set in the UMS. There was some error with the software.

I can chromecast a tab with a movie open and subtitles on it that works but I like the whole media library access to be able to just choose files with my phone.

No, if you are running a media server that passes them on like twonky it’ll pass them to bubbleupnp. It seems bubhleupnp raising the buffer size can partially resolve this.
